VERTICAL OPTSAT HOISTING DEVICE
The vertical handling hoist allows an optical device to be weighed and moved in different configurations during assembly, integration, and optical testing phases at OHB's premises.
In addition to the hoist, a set of walkways has been installed to allow safe access around the specimen.
The mission's challenge
Three main challenges Spirit Technologies faced:
- Very short lead time from design to production and load testing before delivery
- Different lifting configurations
- ISO 5 compatibility
Specificity
This lifting beam is electrically leveled using a ground-based HMI.Technical characteristics
| Dimensions | Ø3000 mm |
| Weight | 1150 kg |
| WLL | 2500 kg |
| Full stroke of the central screed | X and Y +/-160 mm |
| Environment | ISO 5 |
| Temperature | 22 ± 3°C |
Operational characteristics
The vertical handling hoist is a lifting device and therefore mechanical strength, deformation criteria, and stability are critical.
The equipment obviously meets the following general conditions:
- Overall robustness and compactness
- Stability in dynamic and static situations
- Safety of persons and property during use
Delivery times
The lead time has been reduced to 6 months, through the following steps:
- Mechanical study and analysis
- Manufacturing
- Assembly, testing, and qualification in our workshop in Lançon-de-Provence before dispatch to the customer
Certifications
This equipment complies with European standard 2006/42/EC and is tested at two working load limits by an approved body in our workshop in Lançon-de-Provence.
