ANALYSIS, PREDICTION & TEST FOLLOW-UP
Development of an MGSE, a totem pole, to vibrate a Solar Generator and simulate its behavior on a satellite.

ANALYSIS, PREDICTION & TEST FOLLOW-UP
The mission's challenge
The aim of this project is to qualify the Solar Generator with an acceleration of 7g in X, 7g in Y and 12g in Z, using the followings analysis steps:
- Design
- Quasi-static analysis to validate mechanical strength
- Modal analysis
- Sinus analysis and test prediction: determination of sinus input levels to achieve an acceleration of 7g in X, 7g in Y and 12g in Z on the GS
- Follow-up of sinus tests
- Test/prediction correlation
Specificity
Determination of sinus input levels to achieve an acceleration of 7g in X, 7g in Y and 12g in Z on the Solar Generator.Technical characteristics
The Totem is tested successively along 3 orthogonal axes.
For longitudinal vibrations, it is attached to the vibrator in a vertical position.
For lateral vibrations, it is mounted on a sliding table, with the vibrator in a horizontal position.
